June 26, 2004, the Riggs Farm on Riggstown Road, off Highway 17, was the scene of the dedication of the "Back In Time Museum."  This new tourist attraction is owned and managed by Rodney Riggs.  Its theme is memories of the past years spent on the farm.  It consists of a collection of old restored John Deere tractors, antique tools, including wrenches, soldering irons, saws, shovels, pitchforks, tobacco processing equipment, a spinning wheel, wheelbarrow, tiller, a Coca-Cola dispensing cart,  clock, mounted deer head, a 100-year-old bell, and thousands of miniature toys on shelves and hanging from the ceiling.  For the motorcycle buff, there is an old Harley Davidson.  For the antique car buff, there is a 1967 Ford Mustang in immaculate condition.

The Riggs Farm, owned and managed by the Riggs family, is an active farm of over 1,000 acres producing corn, soy beans, peanuts, cotton and tobacco.

In addition to the new museum, Jones County is recognized for a number of recreational activities such as hunting, swimming, camping, boating, and fishing.

Pictures of the new museum both inside and out are shown below.

An old fashioned Southern Barbecue for 300 guests preceded the dedication of the "Back In Time Museum."  A live band with a soloist entertained the large crowd before it was time to serve the barbecue.  Cooking of the pig began at 3:00 AM and was served at 1:00 PM.  This was augmented by the addition of chicken, potato salad, cole slaw, hush puppies, iced tea, and soda.  The barbecue was tender, and everyone agreed that the meal was the best - thanks to the culinary expertise of the Riggs family.
