Jones County Branch of Lenoir Community College

     The Jones County Education Center is housed in a building on NC 58 just south of Trenton. Included in the building are administrative offices, classrooms, computer labs, a learning lab, a welding shop, and an allied health facility.  The Jones County Education Center is staffed with a director/coordinator, instructional assistant, recruiter, evening supervisor, and part time instructors.  A variety of curriculum and extension courses are offered at the center while other extension courses are offered throughout Jones County.  The Jones County Education Center also offers a 2-year associate degree program in Office Systems Technology as well as Adult Basic Education/Adult High School/GED preparation classes each semester.

jca-23a.jpg (18172 bytes)Lenoir Community College, located in the heart of the North Carolina Global TransPark, has facilities located in Kinston, Snow Hill and Trenton, serving 10,000 students in 50 programs of study.  These include associate in arts and associate in science degrees, diplomas and certificates as well as continuing education classes.  The A. Forrest Waller Classroom Building features state-of-the-art computer labs and a 650 seat auditorium.  The newly renovated Bullock Building houses premier industrial programs to provide the most up-to-date skills in training our workforce for the new century.   Lenoir Community College is involved in partnerships with our public schools, our businesses and industries, and our nearby universities.  Lenoir Community College also offers a 2 plus 2 engineering program on campus.  Other courses unique to the North Carolina Community College System include Aviation Management, Career Pilot Technology, Court Reporting and Captioning, Culinary Technology, Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology, and Horticulture Technology.
