Location - Jones County is located in Eastern North Carolina and consists of 470 square miles. We are in the middle of a triangle between the cities of Kinston, New Bern and Jacksonville. We are only 30 miles from the Atlantic Coast, 70 miles north of Wilmington and 100 miles east of Raleigh. We are approximately half way between New York and Florida.
Transportation - Major highways serving Jones County are US 70, US 17 and NC 58, NC 41, and NC 258. US 70 runs across the northeastern part of Jones County. It is a direct route to the North Carolina port in Morehead City and the Atlantic Coast to the east. To the west it goes by Interstate 95 and to Raleigh. US 17 is on the drawing board to become a four-lane highway. The US 17 lane expansion will be a great asset to businesses in Jones County. NC 41 runs east to west across Jones County and is only 44 miles to Interstate 40 and 90 miles to Interstate 95.
Airline service is available at New Bern, Kinston and Jacksonville for Jones County residents. Charter and air freight services are offered by several carriers.

county industrial park in 2002.
The park has water, sewer and natural gas in place. There is also access to
fiber optics along
Highway 58. LP gas is available in a large tank capacity delivered to the site at

The park is located on US Highway 17 at the north edge of the town limits with access to all utilities. A layout design for the park has been completed. Maysville is located 15 miles from Jacksonville, NC, home of Camp Lejeune and the New River Air Station of the U.S. Marine Corps.
